Last week we exhibited at Packaging Innovations 2019, the UK’s biggest packaging and trade expo, alongside thousands of industry insiders, experts and visitors to the show. Launching our exciting new compostable coffee capsules, we had a fantastic time discussing the future of the industry and exploring the new ways to improve sustainability.
Sustainability was the key theme at this year’s show. More than ever before manufacturers, brands and consumers want their products to made responsibly and sustainably. The EcoPack stage at this year’s event was twice the size of previous years, with a packed schedule of talks, presentations and debates. Meaningful and pragmatic debate on the future of the industry, how it can evolve and bring solutions to the #BigPlasticsDebate was the hot topic that brought about some exciting packaging innovations – after all, that is the name of the show!
It was our fifth consecutive year of exhibiting at the expo, and we were pleased to see lots of familiar faces as well as plenty of new industry colleagues. Showcasing our ranges of high quality standard and bespoke packaging, produced with recycled materials at our zero waste facility in Norfolk, as well as our new compostable items – we had plenty to talk about with the crowds of visitors.
Since we returned from Birmingham, we’ve been following up on the exciting leads and projects that arose from the show and can’t wait to get the production lines going with our new innovations!
